Update – Employment WORKS delivery of new Disability Employment Services (DES).

From March 1 2010 Disability Services Australia wide will change from Disability Employment Network (DEN) to DES.
Services delivered prior to March 1 through DEN were capped resulting in many job seekers missing out on DEN services as a result of DEN providers having a limited number of places available.

From 1 March 2010 all job seekers either in receipt of a Disability Support Pension (DSP) or who have a permanent disability with an assessed need for more long-term regular ongoing support in the workplace, will be able to access Employment WORKS DES to receive employment assistance to obtain and maintain employment in the open labor market.

Employment WORKS services are flexible and tailored to assist each individual with a disability, we will ensure you have early access to a wide range of services both local and via distance education (if required), provide you with the right employment and education assistance as early as possible, place more emphasis on education, training and skills development.

So if you, a family member of friend have a disability contact Employment WORKS today !
